The institution of marriage in Japan is regulated by the Constitution of Japan and the detailed bills. In these acts we can find laws that determine the conditions which must be fulfilled future spouses to marry. Numerous surveys of marriage conducted by government organizations point to the evolution of this institution in Japan. In analyzing the survey results, we can conclude that the changes are all possible parameters oscillating around the concept of marriage. The Japanese government is using a government program ‘Abenomika’, trying to encourage women to work, but also enable them to reconcile it with the role of mother.

Instytucję małżeństwa w Japonii regulują Konstytucja Japonii oraz ustawy szczegółowe. W tych aktach prawnych możemy znaleźć przepisy prawne, które określają warunki, jakie spełnić muszą nupturienci, aby zawrzeć związek małżeński. Liczne badania statystyczne dotyczące małżeństwa prowadzone przez organizacje rządowe wskazują na ewolucję tejże instytucji w Japonii. Analizując wyniki badań statystycznych, można stwierdzić, że zmianie ulegają wszystkie możliwe parametry oscylujące wokół pojęcia małżeństwa. Japoński rząd za pomocą programu „Abenomika” próbuje zachęcić kobiety do podjęcia pracy, ale ma im również ułatwić pogodzenie jej z rolą matki.
