Seksualność osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną w personalistycznym ujęciu Jeana Vaniera i Antoniego Bartoszka

Przedmiotem artykułu pozostaje analiza niektórych zagadnień związanych z seksualnością osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną. Analizy te osadzono w perspektywie personalistycznej, odwołując się do prac Jeana Vaniera i Antoniego Bartoszka. Przytaczane poglądy autorów na temat sposobów realizacji seksualności osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną, rozumianej w sposób wieloaspektowy, z ujęciem sfery fizycznej, psychicznej, społecznej i duchowej, dają możliwość wyjaśnienia zagadnień trudnych i nierzadko ocenianych stereotypowo. Stwarzają również sposobność poszerzenia pewnych kwestii, wyjaśnianych na poziomie naukowym, stanowiąc płaszczyznę dla ich właściwej interpretacji wartościującej. W poszczególnych częściach artykułu omówiono takie zagadnienia, jak uzasadnie­nie seksualności niepełnosprawnych intelektualnie, miłość, małżeństwo, prokreację oraz zachowania seksualne pozaprokreacyjne.

The article comprises a selection of issues related to sexuality of individuals with an intellectual disability. The analysis was conducted from the personalist perspective found in the works of Jean Vanier and Antoni Bartoszek. These authors’ ideas on the issues of how individuals with an intellectual disability realize their sexuality (seen as a multi-facet phenomenon) including the physical, mental, social and spiritual spheres, were used to explicate phenomena that are difficult and often judged stereotypically. They also offer a chance to expand on certain issues explained on the scientific level, giving a robust basis for their appropriate evaluative interpretation. Specific sections of the article pertain to issues such as justifying sexuality of individuals with an intellectual disability, love, marriage, procreation and non-procreative behavior.

W artykule poruszony został problem odpowiedzialności wychowawczej. Funkcję rodziców w tym zakresie odniesiono do roli asystenta wspólnoty „Arka”, poszukując pewnych analogii w funkcjonowaniu obu wspólnot. Jean Vanier – założyciel „Arki”, opisując rolę asystenta we wspólnocie, określa istotę jego odpowiedzialności. Wskazuje na fakt, iż odpowiedzialność wiąże się z przyjęciem roli autorytetu, przy jednoczesnej świadomości własnych braków. Podkreśla znaczenie relacji interpersonalnych i wskazuje na zadania spoczywające na „odpowiedzialnym” z nimi związane. Uczy, jak przyjmować odpowiedzialność i jak się nią dzielić. W artykule dokonuje się odniesienia powyższych wskazań do odpowiedzialności wychowawczej rodziców.

The article discusses the problem of educational responsibility. The role of parents in this area was referred to the role of the assistant of the “l’Arche” community, looking for some analogies in the functioning of both communities. Jean Vanier – the founder of the “l’Arche”, describes the role of the assistant in the community and determines the essence of his responsibility. He points to the fact that responsibility involves accepting the role of authority and recognizing one’s own deficiencies. He emphasizes the importance of interpersonal relations and points to the tasks that lie with the “responsible” in “l’Arche”. It shows how to take responsibility and how to share it. The article refers to the above indications to parental responsibility.

Jean Vanier is known as an outstanding thinker and the founder of the community “L'Arche”. In his writings for many years he has been sketching foundations and principles of creating truly supportive and developing communities of people with intellectual disabilities, their assistants and friends. In recent years a growing interest in his writings can be observed in the context of their use in education of children, young people and adults who want to learn how to create different types of communities: family, friendship, professional communities. The purpose of this article is to present the importance of Jean Vanier's thought in the context of the possibility of its use in the process of building the family as a community of people. Many of the principles formulated by him can be a starting point for programs and strategies preparing parents and their children to built truly supportive family communities.

Jean Vanier jest znany jako wybitny myśliciel oraz założyciel wspólnot „Arki”. W swoich pismach od lat kreśli założenia tworzenia prawdziwie wspierających i rozwojowych wspólnot życia osób z niepełnosprawnością intelektualną oraz ich asystentów i przyjaciół. W ostatnich latach wzrasta zainteresowanie pismami tego autora także w kontekście możliwości ich wykorzystania w wychowaniu i edukacji dzieci, młodzieży i dorosłych, którzy chcieliby nauczyć się, jak tworzyć różnego rodzaju wspólnoty: rodzinne, przyjacielski, zawodowe. Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie znaczenia myśli Jeana Vaniera w kontekście możliwości jej wykorzystania w procesie budowania rodziny jako wspólnoty osób. Wiele z formułowanych przez niego zasad może stać się punktem wyjścia dla programów i strategii przygotowujących rodziców i ich dzieci do tworzenia prawdziwie wspierających się wspólnot rodzinnych.
