On December 12, 2021 the Karaim National and Cultural Association “Fidan” held its third international conference entitled “Issues in the protection of Karaim cultural heritage“, in Sevastopol. Due to the pandemic, the conference had to be organised in hybrid mode. The event was attended by people from several countries, including Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland, France, Israel and Australia. The following report presents the summaries of the speeches of all 15 conference speakers who discussed a wide range of topics, including former press publications, museum collections, historical and cultural events, preservation of the Karaim language, digitization of collections and tombstones, outstanding families and individuals, restoration activities and others.

Po raz trzeci z rzędu w Sewastopolu na Krymie zorganizowano konferencję poświęconą dziedzictwu kulturowemu Karaimów. Planowane początkowo na wrzesień wydarzenie, zostało przeniesione na koniec roku i ostatecznie odbyło się 12 grudnia 2021 r. Ze względu na sytuację pandemiczną przeprowadzono je w trybie hybrydowym z wykorzystaniem platformy skype. Trzecia Międzynarodowa Konferencja pn. „Zagadnienia ochrony dziedzictwa kulturowego Karaimów” została zorganizowana przez Sewastopolskie Stowarzyszenie Karaimów Fidan, przy współpracy Departamentu Komunikacji Publicznej, Wydziału Polityki Wewnętrznej miasta Sewastopol oraz Miejskiego Centrum Narodowo-Kulturalnego w Sewastopolu.

On November 27, 2020 the Karaim National and Cultural Association “Fidan” held its second international conference entitled “Issues in the protection of Karaim cultural heritage, in Sevastopol. Due to the pandemic, the conference had to be organised online. Around 60 people from several countries took part in the event. The following report presents the summaries of the speeches of all 17 conference speakers who discussed a wide range of topics, including the history of Karaim communities, the research and protection of Karaim necropolises, new technologies designed to help preserve the Karaims’ heritage, biographical episodes of outstanding Karaims, musical folklore, Karaim artifacts in private hands, museum collections and others.

W dniu 27 listopada 2020 odbyła się druga międzynarodowa konferencja zatytułowana „Zagadnienia ochrony dziedzictwa kulturowego Karaimów” zorganizowana przez Stowarzyszenie Narodowo-Kulturowe Karaimów w Sewastopolu „Fidan”. Z powodów epidemicznych konferencję przeprowadzono on-line. W wydarzeniu wzięło udział około 60 osób z kilku krajów. Poniższe sprawozdanie zawiera podsumowania wystąpień wszystkich 17 prelegentów konferencji, którzy omawiali takie tematy jak historia społeczności karaimskich, badania i ochrona nekropolii karaimskich, nowe technologie w służbie zachowania karaimskiego dziedzictwa, fakty z życia wybitnych Karaimów, folklor muzyczny, artefakty karaimskie w rękach prywatnych i zbiorach muzealnych i inne.
