Artykuł poświęcony jest zagadnieniu policji tajnych w Królestwie Polskim w latach 1815-1830. Artykuł został podzielony na trzy zasadnicze części. W pierwszej opisano historię kształtowania się policji tajnych na terenie Królestwa Polskiego, począwszy od 1813 r., a na wybuchu powstania listopadowego kończąc. Przedstawiono również struktury oraz sposoby funkcjonowania policji, ponadto scharakteryzowano najważniejszych agentów działających w tych policjach. W następnej części zajęto się losem akt, wytworzonych przez te policje, podczas powstania listopadowego oraz po jego upadku. Przedstawiono działalność organów powstańczych oraz władz rosyjskich zajmujących się tymi aktami. Następnie prześledzono los tych dokumentów począwszy od drugiej połowy XIX w., poprzez okres międzywojenny, II wojnę światową, aż po czasy współczesne. Ostatnia część poświęcona jest spuściźnie aktowej policji tajnych Królestwa Polskiego zachowanej w zasobie Archiwum Głównego Akt Dawnych w Warszawie. Spuściznę tą stanowi zespół akt policji tajnej w. ks. Konstantego. W części tej omówiono charakterystykę archiwalną zespołu oraz szczegółowo jego serie.

This article is devoted to the secret police in the Polish Kingdom from 1815 to 1830. The text discusses the history of the formation of the secret police in the Polish Kingdom beginning from 1813 and at the outbreak of the November Uprising (1830) ending. The paper presents the structure and methods of functioning of the police and characteristics of the major agents. In the following section author discusses the fate of the police records during the November Uprising (1830-1831) and after its collapse. Presented are the bodies of insurgent administration and the Russian authorities dealing with these records. Then the fate of these records is traced from the mid-19th century to contemporary times. The final part of the article is about the legacy of the secret police of the Polish Kingdom preserved at the Central Archives of Historical Records in Warsaw. This legacy is composed of a set of the secret police files of the Grand Duke Constantine. Author presents in detail the contents of this fond.
