Artykuł dotyczy pisarstwa Zuzanny Orlińskiej, która tworzy przepełnione humorem, dobrocią i serdecznością książki dla dzieci i młodzieży. Analizie poddane zostały wszystkie tytuły autorki: Matka Polka, Pisklak, Cierpienia sięciolatka, Ani słowa o Zosi, Stary Noe i Detektywi z klasztornego zamku. Bohaterowie literaccy w jej powieściach znajdują się w różnych sytuacjach, toczą walkę wewnętrzną, rozwiązują zagadki detektywistyczne, poznają prawdy życiowe, system wartości i obowiązujące normy postępowania. Z. Orlińska jawi się jako pisarka, dla której ważne są sprawy młodych ludzi. Kraina dzieciństwa ukazana w jej powieściach dla dzieci i młodzieży jest krainą bliską każdemu czytelnikowi, bez względu na jego wiek czy czasy, w których dorastał.

The article refers to the works by Zuzanna Orlińska, the creator of works for children and young people which are full of humour, goodness and warmth. All editions of the author’s works were subject to an analysis: Matka Polka, Pisklak, Cierpienia sięciolatka, Ani słowa o Zosi, Stary Noe, as well as Detektywi z klasztornego zamku. The literary protagonists in Orlińska’s novels find themselves in various situations, they go through an internal struggle, they solve detective mysteries, they learn the truths about life, they familiarise themselves with the system of values and the norms of conduct which are valid. The author of these works makes an interesting choice of words which she applies to a situation in which the small protagonists find a platform for understanding. Orlińska appears as a writer for whom the concerns of young people are relevant. The childhood realms which are presented by the author of Pisklak in her novels for children and young people are realms to which each reader can relate, regardless of his or her age or the time in which he or she grew up.

W artykule przedstawiono zagadnienia związane z edytorstwem dla dzieci i młodzieży na przykładzie działalności Wydawnictwa Akapit Press Sp. z o.o. z Łodzi. Na podstawie materiałów dostarczonych przez Wydawnictwo i rozmów z redaktorami starano się ukazać problem odpowiedzialności edytora przygotowującego lektury dla młodego czytelnika. Uwzględniono kwestie dotyczące wychowania – wydawcy literatury dla młodych odbiorców powinni pamiętać o szczególnym jej charakterze, czyli kodach wartości wpisywanych w każdy utwór dla nich przeznaczony.

The short text attempts to present, on the basis of materials furnished by the Publisher and the conversations with the editors, the problem of the editor’s responsibility for a young reader who is charged with the task of preparing such works for this kind of reader. On the basis of the activities of the Wydawnictwo Akapit Press Sp. z o.o. in Łódź the problems associated with the editorship of works for children and young people was presented. The text covers the problems associated with education, which means that the editors of literature intended for young readers should remember about the peculiar nature of such works i.e. the code of values inscribed into works intended for such readers.

Artykuł wprowadzając w problematykę książki obrazkowej dla dzieci i młodzieży szczególną uwagę czytelnika skupia na zagadnieniu relacji pomiędzy obrazem a słowem. Ponadto podejmuje próbę uporządkowania pewnego chaosu terminologicznego wynikającego z niedostatecznego opracowania tego zjawiska na tle polskich realiów kulturowych. Tekst na przykładzie twórczości Iwony Chmielewskiej prezentuje zasadnicze cechy książki obrazkowej, zawartą w niej problematykę oraz jej znaczenie i niebagatelną rolę dla rozwoju młodego odbiorcy.

This paper, introducing the issue of the influence of picture books on infant and childhood development, focuses on the correlation between the illustration and the accompanying text. Furthermore we attempt to establish a standard nomenclature for this domain, hoping to do away with the verbal chaos that still prevails in the Polish specialist literature, due to the lack of relevant scientific investigation in this field on the backdrop of polish cultural realia. Taking as an example the works of Iwona Chmielewska the paper points out the main properties of picturebooks, presents the predominant topics and their significance and highlights their considerable potential on childhood development.

Celem artykułu jest analiza zawartości stron internetowych wybranych wydawnictw mających w swojej ofercie książkę adresowaną do młodego odbiorcy pod kątem obecności na nich tekstu literackiego. Postanowiono zastosować narzędzia netnografii oraz metodę funkcjonalną, aby: zidentyfikować kryteria doboru fragmentów tekstów umieszczanych na stronach internetowych, opisać miejsce tych fragmentów wśród innych elementów interfejsu strony, wskazać funkcje, jakie owe fragmenty pełnią. Do badań wybrano strony następujących wydawnictw osiągających w latach 2013–2015 najwyższe zyski ze sprzedaży książek, w tym tych dla dzieci i młodzieży: Wydawnictwo Olesiejuk, Wydawnictwo AMEET, Grupa Wydawnicza Foksal, Prószyński Media, Grupa Publicat, Nasza Księgarnia, Wydawnictwo Czarna Owca.

The aim of the article is to analyse the content of websites of selected publishers offering a book addressed to young readers in terms of the presence of a literary text on them. It has been decided to use netnography tools and a functional method to identify the criteria for selecting text extracts from websites; to describe the position of these extracts among the other elements of the website interface; to indicate the extract functions. The websites of the following publishing houses with the highest profits on the sale of books, including those for children and youth in 2013–2015, have been selected for the study: Wydawnictwo Olesiejuk, Wydawnictwo AMEET, Grupa Wydawnicza Foksal, Prószyński Media, Grupa Publicat, Nasza Księgarnia, Wydawnictwo Czarna Owca.
