Local governments are making increasing efforts aimed at supporting families. The effective family policy requires the empowerment of its stakeholders. The chance is broad activity of different local environments in the process of creating of that policy. Best practices suggests that participative family policy is more effective and cheaper than creation of the policy solely by local governments.

Samorządy lokalne podejmują coraz więcej działań ukierunkowanych na wspieranie rodzin. Skuteczna polityka rodzinna wymaga upodmiotowienia jej interesariuszy. Szansą jest szeroka aktywność różnych środowisk w procesie tworzenia tej polityki: diagnozowania problemów, proponowania rozwiązań, monitorowania procesu ich wprowadzania, oceny rezultatów i rekomendowania zmian. Dobre praktyki wskazują, że partycypacyjna polityka rodzinna jest skuteczniejsza i tańsza niż polityka kreowana wyłącznie przez samorządy.
