Michal Majerski was an associate editor of 'Gazeta Grudziadzka' in 1897-1903 and 'Przyjaciel Ludu', a paper published in Poznan in 1905-1906. In both these periodicals, he also temporarily served as the editor-in-chief. Both as a contributor and an editor he faced penalties under the Prussian justice system for non-compliance with press law. He was brought before court as many as 25 times in the years 1897-1906, and sentenced to pay 2,160 marks in fines and serve 12 weeks in prison.
