Concentration of entrepreneurship in rural districts of the Mazowieckie voivodeship

The article research problem was to present the theoretical issues and statistics of entrepreneurship in all the rural districts of the Mazowieckie voivodeship. The article was to show the level and concentration of companies’ number in the examined districts. This made it possible to identify the districts with the highest and the lowest level of entrepreneurship as well as the changes in its concentration that took place in the examined period. The research was conducted in 2014, and the main statistical material consisted of the data obtained from the Local Data Bank of the Central Statistical Offi ce. The research outcomes indicate that there was a slight but steady increase of the number concentration of enterprises located in the examined districts in the studied period.

W artykule problemem badawczym było przybliżenie zagadnienia przedsiębiorczości w ujęciu teoretycznym oraz statystycznym we wszystkich gminach wiejskich województwa mazowieckiego. Celem artykułu było przedstawienie poziomu i koncentracji liczby przedsiębiorstw w badanych gminach. Pozwoliło to na identyfi kację gmin o najwyższym i najniższym poziomie przedsiębiorczości oraz zmian, jakie zaszły w jej koncentracji w badanym okresie. Badania przeprowadzono w 2014 roku, a głównym materiałem statystycznym były dane pozyskane z Banku Danych Lokalnych Głównego Urzędu Statystycznego. Wyniki badań wskazują, że w badanym okresie zaobserwowano niewielki, lecz stały proces zwiększania koncentracji liczby przedsiębiorstw zlokalizowanych na terenie badanych gmin.

Dochód stanowi jeden z najważniejszych mierników nierówności społecznych. Ma on duży wpływ na niemal wszystkie dziedziny życia, jednak najbardziej wpływa na kształtowanie się szans edukacyjnych. Celem pracy jest weryfikacja dochodów i szans edukacyjnych dzieci i młodzieży w województwie mazowieckim, zależności między nimi, a także wskazanie kierunków, które mogłyby wpłynąć na zmniejszenie dysproporcji w poszczególnych regionach województwa mazowieckiego. Do realizacji celu użyto głównie metody statystyczne, ale także metodę opisową oraz porównawczą. Artykuł rozpoczyna się od części teoretycznej, następnie przeprowadzono analizę statystyczną, aby w końcowej części przejść do próby oceny poziomu nierówności szans edukacyjnych w województwie mazowieckiem, a także wskazania sposobów, które mogłyby przyczynić się do zmniejszenia tychże nierówności. Artykuł poprzedzono wprowadzeniem i zakończono sformułowaniem wniosków. Należy szukać takich rozwiązań, które będą zmierzać do wyrównania szans edukacyjnych pomiędzy mieszkańcami Warszawy, a mieszkańcami pozostałej części województwa, gdyż dysproporcje te są wciąż wysokie.

Income is one of the most important measures of social inequality. It is a big influence on almost all aspects of life, but the most influence on the development of educational opportunities. The aim of the work is to verify the income and educational opportunities for children and young people in Mazowieckie, relations between them and an indication of trends that could lead to a reduction of these disparities in the various districts of the regions of Mazowieckie. To achieve the objective used mainly statistical method, but also the methods of descriptive and comparative. Article begins with a theoretical part, followed by statistical analysis to in the final part of the move to try to assess the level of inequality of educational opportunities in the region Mazowieckie, and identify ways that could help to reduce these inequalities. Article preceded by an introduction and completed the formulation of conclusions. You should look for solutions that will be aimed at leveling the playing field between the inhabitants of Warsaw, and the inhabitants of the rest of the province, because the imbalances are still very high.

Artykuł jest poświęcony współpracy międzynarodowej gminy miejskiej Węgrów i studium przypadku opisującym współpracę międzynarodową jednej z 314 gmin województwa mazowieckiego. Zawiera on charakterystykę aktywności międzynarodowej konkretnej miejskiej wspólnoty lokalnej, która ma swoich partnerów zagranicznych na Ukrainie, Litwie, Białorusi i we Włoszech. Omówiono w nim przede wszystkim współpracę międzynarodową Węgrowa, ale także wskazano na podobieństwa tej współpracy do współpracy międzynarodowej innych mazowieckich i polskich gmin. W podsumowaniu artykułu umieszczono propozycję określenia roli, jaką pełni współpraca międzynarodowa gmin.

The article discusses international cooperation of the urban municipality of Węgrów and presents a case study of international cooperation of one of 314 municipalities of Mazowieckie Voivodeship. It describes the characteristics of international activity of a specific urban local community which has its foreign partners in Ukraine, Lithuania, Belarus and Italy. International cooperation of Węgrów has been discussed, indicating its similarities to international initiatives of other municipalities of Mazowieckie Voivodeship and the entire Poland. The summary contains a proposed definition of the role played by international cooperation of municipalities.
