Celem artykułu jest zaprezentowanie istoty wybranych metod wyceny kapitału intelektualnego, analiza wartości kapitału intelektualnego badanych spółek polskiego przemysłu metalowego przy użyciu wskazanych metod oraz określenie możliwości ujęcia wartości kapitału intelektualnego w sprawozdaniu finansowym. W artykule jako podstawowe metody badawcze wykorzystano analizę literatury oraz sprawozdań finansowych i danych giełdowych wybranych spółek. Zastosowano również metody indukcji i dedukcji.

Introducing nature of chosen methods of measurement to the value of the intellectual capital is a purpose of the article, the value engineering of the intellectual capital of examined companies of the Polish metal industry of methods at using shown and determining the possibility of including the value of the intellectual capital in the financial statement. In drawing up, as essential research methods, analysis was used literatures and of financial statements and stock market data of chosen companies. Metods the ones they backed up with the method of the induction and the deduction.
