Występująca w prawie gospodarczym tendencja do wprowadzenia uproszczeń wywiera wpływ na rozwiązania stosowane w rachunkowości. Środki trwałe stanowią zasoby o istotnej wartości i znaczeniu z punktu widzenia działalności jednostki. Wybór metody wyceny początkowej i bilansowej środków trwałych wpływa na wizerunek firmy zawarty w sprawozdaniu finansowym. Celem artykułu uczyniono przedstawienie zmian w polskim prawie bilansowym oraz ich oddziaływania na zakres polityki rachunkowości w obszarze środków trwałych. Wprowadzone zmiany umożliwiają jednostce opracowanie polityki rachunkowości zgodnie z jej celami gospodarczymi i adekwatnie do wagi informacji finansowych zawartych w sprawozdaniach finansowych. Zastosowane w opracowaniu metody badawcze to analiza regulacji prawnych z obszaru prawa bilansowego i podatkowego oraz badania literaturowe.

In business law, there is a tendency to make simplifications, which have an impact on the solutions used in accounting. Fixed assets have substantial value and importance from the point of view of the business unit. The choice of a primary and secondary fixed assets valuation methods affects the image of company including in the financial statements. The point of this article is to present changes in polish accounting law, and their impact on the shape of the accounting policy in the field of fixed assets. The changes allow unit to develop accounting policy in accordance with its objectives, and adequate to the importance of the financial information contained in the financial statements. In elaboration as a testing method was used analysis of regulations from area of accounting and tax law, and accessible literature.
