In 2013, Lvov publishing company “Litopis” published the first volume of Mykhailo Zubryts’kyi collected works (1856–1919) who was both a Ukrainian historian and etnographer of Bojkowszczyzna region and a Greek Catholic priest. The publication not only arouse an interest in Zubrycki himself and his legacy, but also whetted, existing for some time in intellectual circles, scientific discourse concerning the relation between a historian and feelings connected with places close to him (“mała ojczyzna”). The aim of the article is not only to introduce the issue to a Polish reader but also ask about a possibility of using it in historical and historigraphic‑methodological thoughts.

W 2013 roku lwowskie wydawnictwo „Litopis” opublikowało pierwszy tom dzieł zebranych ukraińskiego historyka i etnografa Bojkowszczyzny, jednocześnie księdza greckokatolickiego – Mychajła Zubryckiego (1856–1919).
