With the publication of his article 'Reaction in Germany' in 1842, Bakunin becomes an advocate of Young Hegelians. His thought revolves around such notions as contradiction and negation taken from Hegel's 'Science of Logic' and attempts to translate them into empirical reality. I endeavor to answer a question which arises from Bakunin's Young Heglian inspirations: Does negation involves an affirmative element or is it destined to destroy existing reality. If so, one cannot speak of the presence of the mediation of the negative moment in Bakunin and assume that the negation retains what is negated.
