The late-Romanesque censer kept at the Nowe Miasto District Museum in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie was found in a peat bog near the village of Jamielnik and may have been used in the local, currently non-extant church. The historic artifact, due to its main body being composed of two cups of the rims diameter narrower than the bowl, ranks among the typological family of lidded goblets used in the Middle Ages and defined as scyphus. In its form and decoration it features Oriental influences. The comparative investigation, as well as stylistic and technical analysis allow to date it to the 3 rd or the 4 th quarter of the 13 th century at the latest

The article presents the results of the latest research on the late-Gothic triptych in the church of St. Thomas in Nowe Miasto Lubawskie. Despite its importance as being one of only two preserved medieval altars in the Chełmno region, this monument has not been analysed in a monograph. Based on the analysis of modern source texts as well as later references and photographs, the place of its functioning up to the 20th century was analysed. Later, the triptych was transferred to the Seminary in Toruń. Based on the investigation of old illustrations, descriptions and conservation documentation, outlining the history of the transformations of the monument was attempted. After conducting a stylistic analysis, it was argued that it is possible to link the Nowe Miasto triptych with Toruń workshops and date its creation around the second decade of the 16th century.

W artykule zaprezentowano efekty najnowszych badań dotyczących późnogotyckiego tryptyku z kościoła pw. św. Tomasza w Nowym Mieście Lubawskim. Pomimo swojej rangi – dzieło to jest bowiem jednym z zaledwie dwóch zachowanych średniowiecznych nastaw ołtarzowych na ziemi chełmińskiej, zabytek ten nie doczekał się opracowania monograficznego. Na podstawie analizy nowożytnych tekstów źródłowych oraz późniejszych wzmianek i fotografii analizie poddano miejsce jego funkcjonowania aż do l. 90. XX w., kiedy to został przeniesiony do Seminarium Duchownego w Toruniu. Następnie, na podstawie analizy dawnych materiałów ilustracyjnych, opisów oraz dokumentacji konserwatorskich przeprowadzono próbę zarysowania dziejów przekształceń zabytku. Po przeprowadzeniu analizy stylistycznej wskazano argumenty za powiązaniem nowomiejskiego tryptyku z warsztatami toruńskimi i datowaniem go na drugą dekadę XVI wieku.
