Artykuł zaznajamia z postacią Jana Jerzego Buzka (1874-1940), polskiego lekarza z pogranicza Polski i Czechosłowacji, tzw. Zaolzia. Ukończył studia lekarskie na Uniwersytecie w Krakowie. Pracował jako lekarz górników w Dąbrowie. Był organizatorem szkół średnich dla polskiej młodzieży, a podczas okupacji hitlerowskiej członkiem polskiego ruchu oporu na Zaolziu. W 1940 r. został aresztowany i zesłany do obozu koncentracyjnego w Dachau, gdzie zmarł z głodu i wyczerpania.

This article presents Jan Jerzy Buzek (1874-1940), a Polish doctor from the borderland of Poland and Czechoslovakia, so called Zaolzie. He graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the University in Cracow. He was the doctor for miners in the town of Dąbrowa. He developed an education system for Polish secondary school children. During the second world war he was an active member of the Polish Resistance Movement in the borderland of Poland and Czechoslovakia. In 1940 he was arrested and sent to the concentration camp in Dachau where he died from hunger and exhaustion.
