The upcoming entry into force of regulations concerning new type of commercial company - simple joint-stock company - requires a debate over some practical aspects of its one of the most important features, i.e. a shareholder’s register. This paper is to draw attention on some practical aspects of keeping the register. It concerns especially a procedure of making new entries, required documents, access to the register and types of entries. Issues, which may arise in the application of new regulations, cannot be easily dealt with due to some ambiguities of provisions and its newness, as they have been never applied before. Since only one article is not enough to cover all the problems, this one is intended just to prepare keepers of the shareholder’s register to settle basic dilemmas and is written mainly from the notarial point of view.
