The article reviews scientific publications in which the authors use the data from SHARE survey in the income and poverty analysis. Scientists who use SHARE in the analysis of the economic situation of the 50+ population con­lude how such live transition events as retirement, unemployment, health deterioration, death of a spouse, children leaving home affect wellbeing of the respondents. The authors referred to indicate demographic characteristics of the older people afflicted by poverty and list factors which reduce risk of poverty among 50+ population. The data on incomes, wealth holdings and food expenditures collected in SHARE survey along with information about respondent’s health status, live histories, childhood conditions, labour market activity and demographic variables renders SHARE data the dataset with broad applications in analyses of incomes and poverty of the 50+ population.

Artykuł stanowi przegląd publikacji naukowych, w których dane z badania SHARE posłużyły do analiz dochodów i ubóstwa respondentów. Naukowcy wykorzystujący SHARE w badaniach sytuacji ekonomicznej populacji 50+ dostarczają wniosków o tym, jak wraz ze zdarzeniami, jak np. przejście na emeryturę, bezrobocie, pogorszenie stanu zdrowia, śmierć współmałżonka lub wyprowadzka dzieci, zmienia się dobrobyt respondentów. Cytowani autorzy określają cechy demograficzne respondentów dotkniętych ubóstwem i czynniki redukujące ryzyko ubóstwa. Zbierane w SHARE informacje o dochodach, wartości majątku, wydatkach na żywność oraz możliwość odniesienia ich do stanu zdrowia respondentów, historii życia, warunków dorastania, aktywności na rynku pracy, zmiennych demograficznych czynią z SHARE zbiór danych o szerokich zastosowaniach w zakresie analiz dochodów i ubóstwa osób populacji 50+.
