The article presents the activity of the Soviet spy network within the Polish Army organised in the USSR. The Polish Army in the USSR was penetrated not only by NKVD secret agents but also by the Executive Committee of the Communist International (Comintern) agents sent to the army. The agents were to collect information about internal relations in Polish commands and troops and about anti-Soviet feelings among soldiers. Soviet liaison officers also performed intelligence tasks.

Artykuł przedstawia działalność agentury sowieckiej w Armii Polskiej organizowanej na terytorium ZSRR. Armia Polska w ZSRR była penetrowana nie tylko przez konfidentów NKWD, ale też przez skierowanych w jej szeregi agentów Komitetu Wykonawczego Międzynarodówki Komunistycznej (Kominternu). Agenci mieli za zadanie zdobywanie informacji o wewnętrznych stosunkach w polskich dowództwach i oddziałach i panujących w nich nastrojach antyradzieckich. Funkcje wywiadowcze pełnili też radzieccy oficerowie łącznikowi.

In the KUL University Library there are copies of documents related to the formation of the Polish Army in the USSR. Fascinating are especially those, which illustrate the struggle of political and military authorities for Polish citizens of non-Polish origin. After two years of Soviet occupation, these people were perfectly aware of what the Soviet Russia was and they massively expressed their willingness to join the Polish Army. Due to Soviet provocations and the USSR’s disregard for international law, not everyone was helped.

W Bibliotece Uniwersyteckiej KUL znajdują się kopie dokumentów związanych z formowaniem się Armii Polskiej w ZSRR. Fascynujące są szczególnie te, które ilustrują walkę władz politycznych i wojskowych o obywateli polskich nieposiadających polskiego pochodzenia. Po dwóch latach sowieckiej okupacji ludzie ci doskonale zdawali sobie sprawę z tego, czym jest Rosja Sowiecka i masowo wyrażali chęć wstępowania do Armii Polskiej. Ze względu na sowieckie prowokacje i nieposzanowanie przez ZSRR prawa międzynarodowego nie wszystkim udało się pomóc.
