The main subject of this article are two editions of the Book of Sirach, printed in 1535 (probably) and 1541. The first results of analysis allows to state that first and second edition of Sirach aren’t identical. Differences between them concern, beyond the spelling system, the phonetic and morphological system, also dialectical forms. My purpose is: 1) to describe both editions for the presence of regional linguistic features; 2) to determine the condition of normalization of both editions and compare it with the state of sixteenth-century Polish language; 3) to establish the chronology of printing and the place of publication of the first edition.
