W dniach 14-16 czerwca 2012 r. odbyła się w Kulicach konferencja pt. Solidarność jako podstawowa wartość społeczna. Teoria i praktyka działania solidarnego w Polsce i Niemczech. Organizatorami konferencji były Instytut Politologii i Europeistyki Uniwersytetu Szczecińskiego i Stowarzyszenie na rzecz Wspierania Współpracy Niemiecko-Polskiej. Wśród uczestników konferencji byli polscy i niemieccy naukowcy oraz grupa studentów z Instytutu Politologii i Europeistyki Uniwersytetu Szczecińskiego. W pierwszym dniu konferencji (15 czerwca) odbyły się dwie sesje poświęcone zagadnieniom teoretycznym dotyczące solidarności: rozpatrywano ją w kontekście religijnym i prawnym. W drugim dniu konferencji (16 czerwca) odbyła się sesja zatytułowana Solidarności między Berlinem i Warszawą względem polityki europejskiej, podczas której omówiono przykłady współdziałania w regionach przygranicznych w ramach Unii Europejskiej.

On the 14 – 16 June 2012, a conference took place in Kulice, entitled a Solidarity as a fundamental public value. Theory and practice of solidarity action in Poland and Germany. The organizers of the conference were the Institute of Political Science and European Studies University of Szczecin and Association for Support of German – Polish Co-operation. The participants of the conference were the Polish and German scientists and a group of students from the Institute of Political Science and European Studies University of Szczecin. On the first day of the conference (15th June), two sessions took place dedicated to the theoretical issues, which concern solidarity: it was considered in religious and legal context. On the second day of conference (16th June), took place a session entitled Solidarity between Berlin and Warsaw towards the European politics, during which, were discussed the examples of co-operation in regions borders, within the European Union.
