W artykule przedstawiono istotę, rolę i zadania doradztwa rolniczego w Polsce i porównawczo - w wybranych krajach: Irlandii, Niemczech, Danii oraz Francji. Zwrócono uwagę na zmiany w poszczególnych etapach rozwoju doradztwa w Polsce wraz ze zmianami i przekształceniami w polityce regionalnej. Podkreślono wzrost znaczenia doradztwa po wstąpieniu Polski w struktury Unii Europejskiej oraz wymogi unijne, których spełnienie jest konieczne - jak np. odpowiednie kwalifikacje doradców rolniczych wg. standardów UE. Podjęto również próbę określenia nowych kierunków rozwoju doradztwa rolniczego w Polsce po 2008 roku, z uwzględnieniem zmieniających się potrzeb i oczekiwań klientów korzystających z doradztwa.

This article presents the essence, role and tasks of the agricultural counseling in Poland and comparatively selected countries: Ireland, Denmark and France. Attention was focused on changes in each stage of counseling development in Poland including some alterations and transformations recently made in regional policy. The increase in importance of counseling in Poland after joining the E.U. structures was taken into a consideration including the Union s requirements whose implementation is necessary - e.g. appropriate qualifications of agricultural counselors according to the E.U. standards. The attempt of defining new trends in agricultural counseling in Poland was made after 2008 with the relation to changing needs and expectations of the customers taking advantage of counseling.
