Work is the basic research category of labour pedagogy. Within its scope, there happen profound transformations resulting from the development of the fourth industrial revolution, Industry 4.0 and the increasingly common application of digital workforce in world economies, i.e. of smart and learning machines. These issues have been the subject of the following reflections. They inspire one to ask research questions concerning the future of work; its meaning, character and contents. The key issue remains whether work will remain ‘human’.

Praca jest podstawową kategorią badawczą pedagogiki pracy. W jej obszarze zachodzą wielkie przeobrażenia wynikające z rozwoju czwartej rewolucji przemysłowej, Przemysłu 4.0 oraz coraz powszechniejszego zastosowania cyfrowej siły roboczej w gospodarce światowej, a zatem inteligentnych i uczących się maszyn. Zagadnieniom tym poświęcono prezentowane rozważania. Inspirują one do stawiania pytań badawczych na temat przyszłości pracy; jej sensu, charakteru i treści. Kluczowe pozostaje pytanie, czy praca będzie dalej ‘ludzka’.
