The publishing house Ksiegarnia Polska, which operated in Zamosc in the years 1918-1931, was founded by Stefan and Zygmunt Pomaranski, the publishers of the first regional science periodical 'Kroniki Powiatu Zamojskiego' (1918) after Poland's recovery of independence. The periodical was followed up by 'Teka Zamojska' (1919-1921). In 1938, the Book Lovers Club in Zamosc resumed the publication of 'Teka Zamojska' as a regional quarterly devoted to the history of the town and district of Zamosc.
