Artykuł poświęcony jest możliwościom finansowania innowacji przez firmy sektora MŚP w województwie świętokrzyskim w latach 2007-2013. Autor w pierwszej części artykułu opisuje czym są innowacje oraz jakie są zasady klasyfikacji przedsiębiorstw jako MŚP. Omówiono również innowacyjność województwa świętokrzyskiego i perspektywy jej rozwoju. W drugiej części omówione zostały główne źródła finansowania innowacji tj. fundusze europejskie.

The article is devoted to possibilities of financing innovations by small and medium enterprises in the świętokrzyskie province in the years 2007-2013. In the first part the author describes what innovations are and what are the rules of classifying enterprises as SME’s sector (small medium enterprise). The innovation of świętokrzyskie province and the perspectives of its development were also discussed. In the second part of the article main sources of financing innovations were discussed that is European funds.
