The paper focuses on the means of expression (linguistic and thematic) characteristic for the novelistic work of Rudolf Dobiáš (concentrated in the collection Príbehy z prítmia) and on the expressive categories that are realized through them. It presents the dominant features of the author‘s individual style. It analyses selected means of expression applied with regard to the socio-stylistic stratification of the novels.
