The paper analyzes issues related to structural transformations, taking into account the period of accession to the European Community. The research was based on the assumption that the period of community functioning, its legislative regulations and the support instruments put in place had a significant impact on the reorganization of agricultural holdings and the development of a model of agriculture. The study results were divided into five periods, corresponding to the period of accession to the European Community. Research shows that the most profound structural changes were made in the 6 EC founding countries that have benefited from financial support since 1958. In turn, to a lesser extent, these changes have taken place in the group of Southern European states that have had a structural breakup in their development. The least favorable structural situation is in the new Member States that acceded to the European Union in 2004 and 2007 (outside the Czech Republic). The short period of membership in the EU not only resulted not only in the lack of financial support in previous years, but also in maintaining this support at a lower level compared to the former EU countries.
