The article presents the problem of the value of cultural ephemeral phenomena for tourism. The variability of the cultural landscape within time forms a basis of its attractiveness for tourism. However, dynamic of lanscapes’ phenomena is rarely taken into account by tourism valorizations. The article point out the necessity of elaboration of methods that would take into account ephemeral phenomena. Some features of ephemeral phenomena have been listed as important for tourism values diversity. These are their frequency, regularity and durability. Theoretical argumentation has been illustrated with examples from the Sahel countries (Mali, Niger, Burkina Faso). For the selected area cultural ephemeral phenomena are of special value for tourism. Weekly markets has been described as regular and frequent phenomena, whereas various celebrations and festivals have served an example of rare, but regular, phenomena. The problem of tourism influence on character of cultural events has also been commented.
