The working paper consists of the research’s results concerning the process of local communication in Poland. The questionnaires were being distributed via e-mail and secure-qualified digital signature through 2878 town, city and district halls in entire state. Due to the results the map of local communication in Poland is being prepared as well as the list of obstacles in that process. The issues of local mass communication and Public Relations in Silesia province were involved in the questionnaire.

Niniejszy artykuł stanowi komunikat z badań przeprowadzonych na ogólnopolskiej próbie 2878 jednostek samorządu terytorialnego w zakresie wykorzystania narzędzi komunikacji elektronicznej – profilu zaufanego i poczty elektronicznej. Celem było stworzenie mapy komunikowania lokalnego w Polsce oraz diagnoza problemów tego procesu. Artykuł prezentuje wyniki uzyskane w województwie śląskim na podstawie kwestionariusza ankiety obejmującego pytania z zakresu polityki informacyjnej oraz prowadzonych działań public relations

The article presents problems related with environmental management in enterprises. On the basis of literature research and exploratory data analysis carried out on a sample of Silesian enterprises, attributes and dimensions of proactivity in environmental management were indentified. The common existing views and empiric research outcomes within the scope of the influence of proactive approach to environmental management on enterprises operations and business performance have been also presented.

W artykule zaprezentowano problematykę zarządzania środowiskowego w przedsiębiorstwach. Na podstawie studium literatury przedmiotu oraz eksploracyjnych badań empirycznych, przeprowadzonych w przedsiębiorstwach województwa śląskiego określono atrybuty i wymiary oceny proaktywności w zarządzaniu środowiskowym. Ponadto, zaprezentowano istniejące poglądy oraz wyniki badań wpływu proaktywnego podejścia do zarządzania środowiskowego na funkcjonowanie i osiągnięcia biznesowe przedsiębiorstw.

Rozwój społeczno-ekonomiczny gminy górniczej w dużej mierze zależy od obecności terenów pogórniczych. W artykule starano się poszukać odpowiedzi na pytanie, jak wykorzystać potencjał tych obszarów w gminie? Regulacje w prawie polskim jednoznacznie wskazują na obowiązek współpracy gminy i kopalni w temacie terenów pogórniczych. W związku z tym faktem przedstawiono przykłady takiej kooperacji z województwa śląskiego. Problemem zagospodarowania terenów pogórniczych od wielu lat zajmują się także Niemcy, stąd w artykule znalazł się przykład z Essen, dotyczący zarządzania problemowymi nieruchomościami.

The socio-economic development in mining district largely depends on the presence of post-mining areas. In the paper is presented the answer for the question how to use the potential of post-mining areas in a district. The Polish law points out for the obligation of cooperation between the district and mines in the subject of post-mining areas. Because of it there were presented some samples of such cooperation from Silesia Voivodeship. The issue of reusing the post-mining areas is also in Germany. That is why in the paper was presented an example of Essen for the management of post-mining real-estate.
