The article discusses the causes of regional variation in the direct payments. The publication data has been used from ARiMR, publications which spans the time included the amount of subsidies paid throughout the post-accession period. Both at national and regional level, the total amount of payments increased from year to year, average 10%, which was connected to the principle phasing in. The amount of aid received by individual regions and individual farms varied widely, which had a direct relationship with the agrarian structure and the average total area of farms in these areas. The bigger number of small farms, as well as the smaller average total surface area of a single voivodeship, the lower sum of the payments.

W artykule omówiono przyczyny regionalnego zróżnicowania kwot płatności zrealizowanych w ramach jednolitych płatności obszarowych. Posłużono się danymi ARiMR, które zasięgiem czasowym obejmowały kwoty dopłat wypłacone w całym okresie poakcesyjnym. Stwierdzono, że zarówno w ujęciu krajowym, jak i regionalnym wysokość całkowitej sumy płatności wzrastała z roku na rok, średnio o około 10%, co było odzwierciedleniem wprowadzonego przez UE systemu stopniowego dochodzenia do pełnych stawek płatności bezpośrednich. Wysokość dopłat otrzymanych przez poszczególne województwa oraz poszczególne gospodarstwa była bardzo zróżnicowana, co miało bezpośredni związek ze strukturą agrarną oraz średnią ogólną powierzchnią gospodarstw rolnych tych obszarów. Im więcej drobnych gospodarstw, a także im mniejsza średnia ogólna powierzchnia pojedynczego województwa, tym mniejsza suma wypłaconych środków.
