Artykuł poświęcony jest przede wszystkim mniej znanym wierszom Ernsta Jandla, które powstały w drugiej połowie lat siedemdziesiątych. Wiersze te wzbudzają zainteresowanie, ponieważ weryfikują w znacznej mierze obraz autora, który do tego czasu znany był szerszej publiczności przede wszystkim jako gracz i klown językowy. Nad wyraz pesymistyczny charakter wierszy spotęgowany został przez oryginalną formę poetycką, którą sam autor określa mianem „zdegradowanego języka“. Niniejszy artykuł jest próbą rekonstrukcji podmiotu lirycznego, który balansując na krawędzi rozpadu, podejmuje próby ukazania się jako integralna całość.

The article is dedicated to less known poems by Ernst Jandl, which were created in the second half of the 70s. These poems arise interest because they verify to great extent the author’s image, who until that moment had been known to a wider audience mainly as a language player. The extremely pessimistic character of the poems is emphasized by original poetic form, which the author himself calls „run-down language“. This arti cle is written in an attempt to reconstruct the lyric Self, which being on the verge of falling apart, tries to appear as a coherent whole.

Der Beitrag befasst sich mit dem weniger beachteten poetischen Konzept Ernst Jandls, das in der zweiten Hälfte der 70er Jahre entstanden ist. Bemerkenswert erscheinen die Gedichte insofern, als sie die Lyrik des Autors, der als Sprachspieler und Sprachclown bekannt wurde, in einem anderen Licht darstellen. In dieser Reihe wendet sich Jandl der düsteren Seite der menschlichen Existenz zu und drückt diese in Form der „heruntergekommenen Sprache“ aus. Der vorliegende Aufsatz stellt eine Probe dar, den Spuren des lyrischen Ich nachzugehen, das zwischen Auflösung und Affirmation schwankt und sich in kurzen affirmativen Momenten als Ganzes zu behaupten versucht.
