Artykuł jest próbą ukazania duchowości i postawy miłosierdzia w życiu św. Jana Bosko założyciela Towarzystwa św. Franciszka Salezego (salezjanów) w odniesieniu do obchodzonego w całym Kościele w 2015/2016 roku – Roku Miłosierdzia Bożego. W pierwszej części artykułu poruszona została kwestia doświadczania miłosierdzia od Boga i ludzi w życiu św. Jana Bosko, w drugiej natomiast pełniona przez Świętego, jako kapłana oraz Ojca i Nauczyciela młodzieży, posługa miłosierdzia. Ostatnia część stanowi ukazanie rozumienia miłosierdzia w dzisiejszym wychowaniu dzieci i młodzieży w charyzmacie salezjańskim, którego wzór pozostawił św. Jan Bosko.

The article is an attempt at presenting the spirituality and attitude of mercy in the life of St. John Bosco, the founder of the Society of St. Francis de Sales (the Salesians), in the perspective of the Holy Year of Mercy celebrated by the whole Church in the year 2015/2016. The first part of the article raises the issue of experiencing mercy from God and people by St. John Bosco. The second part discusses the ministry of mercy which the Saint performed as a priest as well as the Father and Teacher of the youth. The last part constitutes a quest for the topicality of mercy with regard to the contemporary process of upbringing children and youth in the Salesian charism established by St. John Bosco.

Nel suo studio l'autore ha analizzato tutti i testi eucologici della memoria liturgica di S. Giovanni Bosco, sia nel Messale Romano per le diocesi polacche che nel Messale Proprio della Famiglia Salesiana. Si è rivelata una preziosa procedura volta a mostrare gli elementi essenziali della spiritualità di S. Giovanni Bosco, fondatore della Società di S. Francesco di Sales. Inoltre, l'articolo presenta una ricchezza di testi di massa che svolgono molte funzioni, principalmente formativee quelli didattici, che, se ben usati, possono allargare la galassia delle persone cresciute nella Chiesa cattolica al gruppo dei beati e canonizzati.

In author`s analyzed all euchological texts of the liturgical memorial of St. John Bosco, both in the Roman Missal for Polish dioceses and in the Messale Proprio della Famiglia Salesiana. It turned out to be a valuable procedure aimed at showing the essential elements of the spirituality of St. John Bosco, founder of the Society of St. Francis de Sales. In addition, the article presents a wealth of mass texts that fulfill many functions, primarily formative and didactic ones, which, when used well, can enlarge the bunch of people elevated to the group of blessed and canonized people in the Catholic Church.

Autor w swoim opracowaniu poddał analizie wszystkie teksty euchologijne liturgicznego wspomnienia św. Jana Bosko znajdujące się zarówno w Mszale Rzymskim dla diecezji polskich, jak i w Messale Proprio della Famiglia Salesiana. Okazała się ona cennym zabiegiem, który miał na celu ukazanie zasadniczych elementów duchowości św. Jana Bosko, założyciela Towarzystwa św. Franciszka Salezego. Ponadto artykuł prezentuje bogactwo tekstów mszalnych, które spełniają wiele funkcji przede wszystkim formacyjnych i dydaktycznych, które przy dobrym wykorzystaniu mogą powiększyć plejadę osób wyniesionych w Kościele katolickim do grona błogosławionych i kanonizowanych.
