Autor przeanalizował mechanizmy oddziaływania kryzysu finansowego lat 2007-2008 na funkcjonowanie przedsiębiorstw. Negatywny wpływ kryzysu na gospodarkę przedstawił na realnym przykładzie amerykańskiego koncernu samochodowego General Motors Company. Omówił również programy stabilizacyjno-stymulacyjne, które przygotowane przez rządy poszczególnych państw, miały niwelować niekorzystną sytuację.

The financial crisis which occurred in 2007-2008 affected many areas of real economies. It had serious consequences for enterprises, both those operating locally and internationally. The first part of the article outlines how the financial recession impacts real economies and describes its consequences for businesses. The second part presents practical implications of the theoretical issues described in the first part, using as an example the impact of the global financial crisis on General Motors. The third part provides an overview of rescue packages for businesses, introduced in selected countries in response to the crisis. The final part of the article is devoted to the implications the crisis has for the current and future situation of enterprises in Poland. (original abstract)
