Research problem analysed in the paper concentrates on the impact of the choice of scale on the the goodness of fit of the Structural Equation Model. For that purpose the primary research tool were built and used for conducting two rounds of research. In the first round two groups of respondents were given two different questionaries dealing with the same research problem (same set of research questions) but using different, 5 or 10 point scales. After one week the same groups of respondents were asked again to assess the research problem by using different type of scale. Obtained empirical data were used to build the structural equation models (for 5 and 10 point scales) of the analysed research problem. Thanks to the collected empirical data it was possible to analyze the impact of the choice of scale on internal (AVE, Cronbach’s Alfa, Composite Reliability) and external (R2) goodness of fit of the model.

The purpose of the analysis was to verify a model which included connections among variables crucial to the child’s upbringing process. These variables were: the discrepancy between the parental goal and child’s actual state, the difficulty experienced by the parent (which following Gurycka [1990] is understood as psychological stress) and the child’s representation in the parent’s mind. It was hypothesized that the discrepancy between the parental goal and child’s actual state might determine the diffi culty experienced by the parent. What is more, this difficulty experience might start the process of shaping the child’s negative representation in the parent’s mind. The purpose of the analysis was to discover connections among the constructs in the net of common relations. A structural equation model was used for this purpose. The calculations were conducted with the help of the IMB AMOS program. The research was conducted on a sample of 100 people, parents of children aged 3 to 10 . The results obtained confirm the suggested connections among the variables. The results confirm the good fit of the model.

The paper proposes a theoretical model to assess the factors affecting students’ satisfaction of their university and their future behavioral intentions. The proposed model was validated by empirical or case research, applied at three Colombian universities (public and private) in Cartagena. A 19-item questionnaire was given to a random sample of 400 students, and was solved by the Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results showed that the students’ perceptions of the universities analyzed affected their satisfaction level and this, in turn, affected their future intentions. Perceived value pricing did not have a significant effect on satisfaction. The model was validated using the most common fit indices. The results presented a statistically valid model, whose main result is the identification of a significant causal effect among the students’ perceptions, satisfaction and future behavioral intentions in the universities analyzed. There was not a significant difference in results between the public and private universities.

Migrations form the size and structure of human resources in regions. For that reason they have not only a demographic but also a social and economic character. The existing research is often not enough due to a spatial, temporary and also a multidimensional character of this occurrence. The subject of this paper is to apply Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) concept for analysing the population migration phenomena considering the gravity model. This approach allows describing the social and economic situation in regions considering a set of correlated variables and it also allows determining its influence on migration flows. The first part of the article describes the construction and interpretation of the gravity model and the concept of the SEM model. In the second part the adopted research procedure and the research scope are presented. In the last part, the results of the investigation are explained. The strength and direction of the impact of the socio-economic development on the migration flows between subregions (NUTS 3) in Poland in the years 2008-2010 are discussed.

This paper presents an empirical research and its purpose is to find the mediation effects when satisfaction and trust are placed as mediators between the website attributes and loyalty. To analyze these effects the PLS-SEM method was used, which allowed to find four indirect effects, three simple and one serial.

Research background: The commercial banks are adopting online services for their transactions to stay competitive and fulfill the customers' needs. There is a dire need to satisfy online customers in a competitive environment. Thus, this paper employed the ES-QUAL model and two mediating variables and outlined the recommendations to the management of the online banking industry to develop effective strategies. Purpose of the article: The undertaken research aimed to examine the electronic banking service quality and customer satisfaction. For this purpose, we employed the ES-QUAL model and examined the direct impact of ES-QUAL dimensions and customer's satisfaction. The secondary task of this paper is to investigate the mediation effect of customer's trust and the perceived value in an association between the ES-QUAL model and customer satisfaction. Finally, we examine and check whether customer satisfaction translates into the business performance of commercial banks or not. Methods: To achieve the overall goal of this research, SEM-based multivariate approach has been used, including confirmatory factor analysis, exploratory factor analysis, and multiple approaches (normal theory, and bootstrapping) to examine the moderation between the exogenous and endogenous variables. For the validation of hypotheses and results, a financial analysis has been performed simultaneously with the primary analysis. The research is done for a sample of 910 respondents of the account holders of five top commercial banks of Pakistan. Findings & Value added: The outcomes of the direct investigation revealed an affirmative, and potent impact of ES-QUAL dimensions on customer's satisfaction. The outcomes of the indirect relationship exhibited that the perceived value and trust mediate ES-QUAL dimensions and customer satisfaction. The secondary data of selected five commercial banks and ratios analysis validated the results of the ES-QUAL model, and it is concluded that the results are linear with the outcomes of customers' satisfaction of primary analysis.
