Forms of support for Roma in Poland coming from the European Union revolve mainly around the projects under the Human Capital Operational Programme and on the basis of the Community Initiative Equal Programme. Among the realized projects the special place is occupied by these concerned with the fight against unemployment and with the support of education among the Roma minority. The projects, implemented throughout the years, provide a chance to change the perception of the Roma minority by the society. For the opportunity to participate in a holistic educational process and open access to the labour market seem to be the only way to improve the existing living standards. The advantage of the projects which certainly cannot be overlooked is the fact that the proposed aid enables a change in living conditions of entire Roma families, while respecting their culture, customs and traditions. For only in this way an improvement of the living conditions of the Roma people and a gradual integration with the rest of the society are possible.

The issue of cooperation between school and family continues to be an investigated and analysed problem, which is thought to be the key to the successful upbringing. The article demonstrates the importance of teacher support along with the support from local, NGOs and government organizations. Support provided appropriately to the needs of a student and family may be an important source of inspiration to cope with many difficult situations.

Problematyka współdziałania szkoły z rodziną stanowi wciąż badany i analizowany problem, w którym upatrywana jest skuteczność wychowania. W artykule ukazano znaczenie wsparcia udzielanego przez nauczyciela, ale też przez organizacje środowiska lokalnego, organizacje pozarządowe i samorządowe. Wsparcie udzielane adekwatnie do potrzeb ucznia i konkretnej rodziny, może stanowić ważną inspirację do radzenia sobie w wielu trudnych sytuacjach.

Strategic determinants of the support absorption process in the SMEs sector companies

Aim/purpose – The aim of the paper is to identify and assess the strategic factors that determine the absorption process of support instruments by SMEs sector companies. Design/methodology/approach – Strategic factors were identified on the basis of the literature review and opinions of ten experts representing management sciences. Further empirical verification of the proposed assumptions was carried out on a random sample of 1,741 micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises from 22 European Union countries. Findings – The obtained results indicate a significant positive influence of five identi-fied strategic factors, i.e. social, support environment, resource, management system and organisational, on the support absorption process. This impact is slightly stronger in the acquisition phase than in the use of support instruments by the SMEs. Research implications/limitations – The results provide a basis for improving efforts to acquire and use external support for micro-, small- and medium-sized enterprises. The limitations of the study include respondents’ high subjectivity of opinions and complex character of considered theoretical constructs. Originality/value/contribution – The contribution of research to the development of management sciences primarily includes the formulation and empirical verification of a set of strategic factors determining the support absorption process in SMEs.

Podstawowym celem niniejszego artykułu jest identyfikacja możliwości wykorzystania ICT (Information Communication Technology) we wspomaganiu twórczości organizacyjnej. Realizacja tak sformułowanego zadania badawczego wymagała wykorzystania różnych metod badawczych, a zwłaszcza analizy literatury przedmiotu, krytycznego wnioskowania i myślenia dedukcyjnego oraz metody sondażu z wykorzystaniem techniki badań ankietowych. Logikę wywodu w niniejszym artykule przeprowadzono w następujący sposób. Na wstępie omówiono istotę twórczości organizacyjnej oraz rolę ICT w jej wspomaganiu. Następnie zaprezentowano wybrane wyniki badań, które przeprowadzono w 232 organizacjach. Na koniec dokonano podsumowania oraz wskazano kierunki dalszych prac nad problematyką komputerowego wspomagania twórczości organizacyjnej.

The main objective of this study is to identify the possibilities of ICT use in organizational creativity support. Different methods and techniques are used to achieve the research task. They included in particular: analysis of the literature, critical thinking and survey technique. The logic of the discourse is as follows. At start, the issue of organizational creativity is described and the role of ICT in its support is investigated. Then, the selected findings from the survey that was conducted among 232 organizations are presented and discussed. Finally, based on the analysis of the literature and on the conducted surveys, some conclusions and for future research in organizational creativity support area are indicated.
