Testy statystyczne odgrywają ważną rolę w szeroko rozumianym wnioskowaniu statystycznym. Weryfikacja istotności parametrów szacowanych modeli po-zwala podejmować właściwe decyzje w wielu obszarach otaczającej nas rzeczywistości. W artykule omówiono wybrane testy zgodności, weryfikujące stopień podobieństwa rozkładu empirycznego z założonym rozkładem teoretycznym. Wybrano grupę testów, które można wykorzystywać w przypadku badania zgodności z rozkładami prawdopodobieństwa innymi niż należące do rodziny rozkładów normalnych. Weryfikację prze-prowadzono dla danych pochodzących z rynku metali szlachetnych.

Statistical tests play an important role in statistical inference. The assessments of significance of estimated parameters is strictly related to decision making problems based on estimated models. In this paper some goodness-of-fit tests are discus-sed. This group of tests has been divided in two sub-groups: quadratic and supremum tests. Both can be used especially if non-classical theoretical probability distribution is considered (leptokurtic, asymmetry, heavy-tailed). The empirical example is based on the data from precious metals market.
