W Kolonii Starostwo Szadek na rozdrożu dróg prowadzących z Szadku do Warty, Błaszek, Zduńskiej Woli stoi postawiony w 1938 r. pomnik poświęcony bohaterom poległym w okresie walk o niepodległość, w latach 1918–1920. Dwudziesta rocznica odzyskania niepodległości sprzyjała podejmowaniu takich inicjatyw. Dzięki ofiarności społeczności lokalnej zebrano fundusze i na betonowym cokole postawiono granitowy głaz z wmurowaną tablicą upamiętniającą nazwiska dziesięciu poległych żołnierzy.

In Kolonia Starostwo Szadek, at the crossroads between Szadek, Warta, Błaszki and Zduńska Wola, there is a monument put up in 1938, on the 20th anniversary of the regaining of independence by Poland. The monument is dedicated to heroes killed during the fights for independence in the years 1918–1920.The funds were raised thanks to the generosity of the local community, and on a concrete plinth was erected a granite block with a plaque commemorating the names of ten soldiers.
