The aim of the following investigation is to critically assess the definition of TV format and its legal relation to the definition of a trade secret, thus, legal protection. Furthermore, the paper focuses on the relevant system of legal protection (and claims) introduced by the Polish Civil Code and the Polish Unfair Competition Act.
