La rivista «Tetradi perevodčika», fondata nel 1958 da Viktor Rozencvejg, linguista e teorico della traduzione, uscì quasi regolarmente dal 1963 al 1989, con la finalità di accogliere i lettori nell’atelier della traduzione, intesa come riflessione teorica e confronto sulle questioni concrete derivanti dalla pratica traduttiva quotidiana. Il presente contributo si pone l’obiettivo di percorrere le principali linee di sviluppo del vivace dibattito teorico-pratico che animò la cultura sovietica tra gli ultimi anni Cinquanta e la fine degli anni Settanta del XX secolo.

The “Tetradi perevodčika” Journal was founded in 1958 and appeared almost regularly from 1963 to 1989. Its aim was to host readers in an ideal translator’s atelier, seen as an opportunity for theoretical reflection and discussion on concrete matters arising from everyday translation practice. This paper intends to trace the main lines of development of the lively theoretical-practical debate that animated Soviet culture in the late 1950s and early 1960s.
