Artykuł opisuje biografię oraz dorobek naukowy polskiego okulisty Konrada Mikołaja Rumszewicza (1850‒1927). W 1874 roku ukończył studia na Uniwersytecie św. Włodzimierza w Kijowie. W latach 1877‒1879 był kierownikiem oddziału ocznego Szpitala Wojskowego w Kijowie. W 1880 roku uzyskał stopień doktora medycyny. W 1904 roku został wiceprezesem Towarzystwa Lekarskiego Oftalmologicznego w Kijowie. W 1907 roku został prezesem Polskiego Towarzystwa Lekarskiego w Kijowie.

The article describes the biography and scientific achievements of the Polish ophthalmologist Konrad Mikołaj Rumszewicz (1850-1927). He graduated from the University of St. Vladimir in Kiev in 1874. He was the head of the ophthalmic department at the Military Hospital in Kiev between 1877 and 1879. He obtained the degree of Doctor of Medicine in 1880. He became vice-president of the Medical Society of Ophthalmology in Kiev in 1904, and became president of the Polish Medical Association in Kiev in 1907.
