Celem niniejszego artykułu było przedstawienie metody zarządzania zyskiem w przedsiębiorstwie hotelowym (yield management). Metoda ta, przy spełnieniu szeregu warunków, może zostać także zastosowana w wielu branżach usługowych, prowadząc do wzrostu zysku w przedsiębiorstwach. Jako relatywnie nowe podejście, wymaga ona jednak poszerzonych badań nad efektywnością jej stosowania. Ze względu na specyfikę branży, w artykule omówiony został także Standardowy System Rachunkowości Hotelowej, w oparciu o którego kategorie i wskaźniki funkcjonuje metoda yield management.

The main purpose of this article was to present the yield management method in the Lodging Industry. This method, after meeting a few conditions, could be applied in many service industries, leading to profit increase. As a relatively new approach, this method requires extended research towards efficiency of its application. Uniform System of Accounts for the Lodging Industry was discussed in this article, due to the industry specific, and because the Yield Management method runs on the basis of USALI characteristic indicators and definitions.
