Udržitelné bydlení v kontextu Ženevské charty

The 2030 Agenda, an ambitious UN plan for the accomplishment of objectives of sustainable development, was approved in 2015 stipulating new priorities for sustainable development in the next 15 years. The need for creation of sustainable housing is anchored in these plans, particularly in Objective 11. This article deals with the concept of sustainable housing and describes the development of the content of this concept and the relation between the Geneva UN Charter on sustainable housing and relevant strategic documents at national and international levels. Although the Geneva Charter is not binding in terms of legislation, it contains the most coherent definition of the concept of sustainable housing that has been available so far. Analysis of the relation between the Geneva Charter and current national/international strategic documents with aspects of sustainable housing enables us to reflect on the implementation of the Geneva Charter in the Czech Republic.

Agenda 2030 – globální ambiciózní plán OSN naplňování tzv. Cílů udržitelného rozvoje – byl přijat v roce 2015 a stanovil tak nové priority v oblasti udržitelného rozvoje na dalších 15 let. Potřeba vytváření udržitelného bydlení je v těchto plánech zakotvena, zejména v Cíli 11. Článek se zabývá konceptem udržitelného bydlení, sleduje vývoj vymezení tohoto pojmu a vazbu mezi Ženevskou chartou OSN o udržitelném bydlení a relevantními strategickými dokumenty národní i nadnárodní povahy. I když Ženevská charta nepředstavuje právně závazný dokument, přináší doposud nejucelenější vymezení konceptu udržitelného bydlení. Analýza vztahů mezi Ženevskou chartou a platnými strategickými dokumenty národní i nadnárodní povahy obsahujícími aspekty udržitelného bydlení tak umožnuje úvahy o implementaci Ženevské charty v České republice.
