The goal of the article is to explain the existence of the Czech minority in the village of Veliko Središte, located in the Banat region (present-day Serbia), which is one of the districts of the Autonomous province of Vojvodina. It aims to present a corpus of neglected source materials which tell the story of the Czechs from Veliko Središte, along with the corresponding characteristics and historical criticism. Sources of information on the local community of reformed Protestants from southern Moravia will help researchers in the field of Czech emigration understand unknown aspects of the community’s existence in the multiethnic region of southern Banat.
