This essay examines the interrelations between the anthropological categories in Karol Wojtyla's poetic texts. Its aim is to demonstrate the essential unity and consistent development of the anthropological vision embodied in his works. The essay is focused in particular on two texts, 'Meditation on death' and 'The spell of fatherhood'. Despite all the years that separate them, both are rooted in the same basic categories constitutive of the human person. They are growing up (maturity), death, fatherhood, love, and man.
