Firmy naftowe prowadzące samodzielnie prace poszukiwawcze ponoszą całkowite ryzyko związane z możliwością wystąpienia ich negatywnego wyniku. Firmy, które dysponują ograniczonymi zasobami finansowymi i narażone są na ryzyko bankructwa, są zainteresowane tworzeniem układów partnerskich, w których podział ewentualnych przyszłych zysków i strat wiąże się z podziałem ryzyka. Podstawowym problemem związanym z tworzeniem i funkcjonowaniem układów partnerskich firm poszukiwawczych jest wynegocjowanie takiego podziału przyszłych dochodów, który zostałby zaakceptowany przez zainteresowane strony. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie wybranych matematycznych metod, które mogą być użyteczne w procesie negocjacji handlowych – koncepcji oczekiwanego efektu finansowego EMV oraz wartości kontrolowanego ryzyka RAV. Każda z metod została zilustrowana przykładem z obszaru sektora naftowego.

These companies which explore for deposits on their own take all the risk connected with the possibility of negative results of their efforts. Companies which have limited financial resources and consider the risk of bankruptcy are interested in creating partnerships which offer sharing possible future profits or losses together with risk sharing. The main problem in establishing of a partnership is to achieve mutually acceptable terms of cooperation during the negotiation process. The main aim of this paper is to present the methods which provide useful framework for such negotiation in oil industry. The concept of expected monetary value EMV and the risk-adjusted value RAV has been described and illustrated by examples.
