In this paper the author presents the issue of organizing primary education activities in the Western Territories after World War II : as an example Sagan. The reader is informed about salary of teachers, pedagogical supervision. At the end we discuss in detail formation of 4 elementary schools operating in those years in Sagan (Primary School No. 1, Primary School No. 2, Primary School No. 3, Primary School No. 4).

W referacie autorka przedstawi problem organizacji działalności szkolnictwa podstawowego na Ziemiach Zachodnich na przykładzie Żagania po II wojnie światowej. Poruszy przy tym kwestie związane z wynagrodzeniem nauczycieli oraz nadzorem pedagogicznym. Szczegółowo zostaną omówione kwestie powstawania 4 szkół podstawowych funkcjonujących w tamtych latach w Żaganiu (Szkoły Podstawowej nr 1, Szkoły Podstawowej nr 2, Szkoły Podstawowej nr 3 oraz Szkoły Podstawowej nr 4)
