The wetland ecosystems are among the most endangered in Poland. Small water bodies situated within forest complexes are the habitat of many unique species of flora and fauna. They are also an important part of compound hydrological systems in forest ecosystems. The occurrence of more than 90 vascular plant species was noted as a result of research on plants diversity of natural pond (it is about 200 m2 in surface area) with its surroundings, which is located in Wilamów forest complex (the eastern part of Szadek commune). The list of plants includes vulnerable species such as: Nymphaea alba, Drosera rotundifolia, Nuphar lutea, Ledum palustre (endangered and protected by the law), Eriophorum vaginatum and E. angustifolium (locally rare and endangered). This natural site is worthy of preservation and establishment of “Śródleśny staw w Wilamo-wie” nature protected area is suggested. A stable hydrological regime is the most important for maintenance of biodiversity of this place.

The neo-gothic church dedicated to St Wojciech the Bishop and Martyr and St Stanisław the Bishop and Martyr in Wilamów is an example of monumental sacral art in Uniejów municipality. In spite of its historical value and location in the vicinity of major transport routes, it is rather little known – it is commonly perceived as a village church rather than a sacral monument worth visiting. The article presents the history of the church and the parish on the basis of specialist literature as well as written and oral sources. It also describes the surroundings and the interior decorations of the church, with a particular focus on its historical and artistic value. The presented analysis demonstrates the touristic potential of this place as an element of cultural heritage.

Neogotycki kościół pw. św. Wojciecha Biskupa i Męczennika i św. Stanisława Biskupa i Męczennika w Wilamowie to przykład zabytkowej sztuki sakralnej na terenie gminy Uniejów. Mimo że ma wartość zabytkową oraz położony jest w pobliżu głównych tras komunikacyjnych, pozostaje obiektem mało znanym. W obiegowej opinii funkcjonuje raczej jako niewielki kościół wiejski niż godny uwagi i wart odwiedzenia obiekt sakralny. W artykule przedstawiono na podstawie analizy specjalistycznej literatury, źródeł pisanych oraz przekazów ustnych historię kościoła oraz parafii, których okoliczności powstania osnute są lokalnymi legendami. Omówiono ponadto wystrój i otoczenie zabytku, skupiając się przede wszystkim na walorach historycznych i artystycznych obiektu, których analiza wykazała potencjał turystyczny miejsca i możliwości wykorzystania go jako celu w kontekście turystyki dziedzictwa kulturowego.

Zagospodarowanie sołectwa Wilamów – próba oceny i wskazania obszarów problemowych

The aim of this article was to identify problem areas in the spatial development of Wilamów and to indicate desirable change directions. Special attention has been paid to the main determinants of the development of the area under study, including its geographical location, socio-economic characteristics and valid planning documents. The methods used include field research, the most important being the field inventory conducted on 9–12 August 2021. The study has identified four problem areas, with present weaknessess described and directions indicated for changes aimed at improvement of the quality of life of the inhabitants.

Celem artykułu było wyznaczenie obszarów problemowych w zagospodarowaniu sołectwa Wilamów i wskazanie kierunków zmian. W publikacji szczególną uwagę zwrócono na podstawowe uwarunkowania zagospodarowania obszaru badań, w tym głównie na położenie geograficzne, charakterystykę społeczno-gospodarczą oraz obowiązujące dokumenty planistyczne. Do realizacji tego celu wykorzystane zostały metody badań terenowych oraz kameralnych. Najważniejszą z nich była inwentaryzacja urbanistyczna, która została przeprowadzona w dniach 9‒12 sierpnia 2021 r. Na podstawie wykonanych analiz dla Wilamowa wyznaczono cztery obszary problemowe, w obrębie których opisano słabe strony i wskazano kierunki zmian w zagospodarowaniu, które mają na celu poprawę jakości życia mieszkańców.

This paper presents the results of geographical and historical research concerning the development of the village of Wilamów in Szadek municipality. The village belonged to the royal estates, but for most of the surveyed period it remained under the tenancy of the nobility. The study analyses socio-economic changes using tax registers, inspection records and inventories of royal estates, as well as the oldest cartographic records. The study takes into account the size of the village, its demographic potential and agrarian structure, the scope of feudal obligations, types of land use, and the level of income.

Artykuł prezentuje wyniki badań geograficzno-historycznych dotyczących zagospodarowania wsi Wilamów w gminie Szadek w okresie nowożytnym. Należała ona do dóbr królewskich, jednak przez większość badanego okresu pozostawała ona w dzierżawie szlacheckiej. W pracy przeprowadzono analizę zmian społeczno-gospodarczych, wykorzystując rejestry podatkowe oraz lustracje i inwentarze dóbr królewskich, jak również najstarsze ujęcie kartograficzne. W badaniach uwzględniono wielkość wsi, jej potencjał demograficzny i strukturę agrarną, zakres powinności feudalnych, kierunki użytkowania oraz poziom dochodowości.
