In the paper is considered the problem of economic scarcity in relation to the virtual space of Internet. There has been considered the relationship between the digital nature of virtual products and the fact that cyberspace is placed in the real world. This combination of virtuality and reality of the Internet is reflected in the economic choices of producers and consumers, that execute transactions on the Internet. In the article is assumed a thesis claiming that virtual economy cannot be considered autonomous, as always it is related to the real economy. In conclusion are presented the practical implications of the considered dependencies.
