Artykuł porusza tematykę związaną z obywaniem kary pozbawienia wolności w warunkach izolacji więziennej przez kobiety. Zaprezentowane w nim zostały kwestie związane ze skalą przestępczości oraz izolacji więziennej kobiet, przestępczością kobiet w wybranych teoriach naukowych. Artykuł zawiera ponadto informacje na temat regulacji prawnych dotyczących kobiet osadzonych,a także charakterystykę systemu penitencjarnego ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem kwestii osadzonych kobiet.

The article raises the subject connected with serving the penalty of imprisonment in condition of women’s prison isolation. There are presented the issues connected with criminality scale and the prison isolation of women, women’s criminality in selected scientific theories. Moreover, the article also consists of the information about legal control of convicted women, and the characteristic of the penal system with the special consideration of the issue of convicted women.
