The phenomenon of globalisation brings new possibilities of manifesta- tions of individualization, which is implemented in the transformation of values, beliefs, attitudes, lifestyles and finding a place in society. The article emphasizes the relationship of youth to society, family, consumerism and manifestation of individualization within the frame of globalization. The effects of globalization and the subsequent individualization are character- ized by the positive and negative manifestations (in the creation of youth subcultures and growth of social-pathologies phenomena). Factors such as social services and counseling, family, school, after-school facilities may have its positive impact on creation of a positive value systems and attitudinal orientation of the young generation.

W artykule podjęto rozważania na temat aspiracji zawodowych młodych, potencjalnych pracowników. Celem artykułu jest określenie aspiracji zawodowe młodych osób dopiero wkraczających na rynek pracy. W artykule scharakteryzowano również sytuację na polskim rynku pracy w latach 2010-2015. Przedstawiono informacje na temat polityki państwa w zakresie rynku pracy. W pracy wykorzystano literaturę przedmiotu, akty prawne (Ustawa o promocji zatrudnienia i instytucjach rynku pracy), informacje o działaniach Ministerstwa Rodziny, Pracy i Polityki Społecznej, a także zaprezentowano wyniki badań GUS i CBOS oraz wyniki badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych w 2016 r. wśród 188 studentów Wydziału Nauk Ekonomicznych i Zarządzania Uniwersytetu Szczecińskiego.

The article discusses career aspirations of potential young workers. It is aimed at answering the following question: what are the career aspirations of young people who are just about to enter the labour market? Furthermore, the article illustrates the situation on the Polish labour market in the years 2010-2015 and presents information concerning labour market policy pursued on a state level. For the sake of the analysis, the author refers to Act on the promotion of employment and labour market institutions, information concerning actions taken by Ministry of Family, Labour and Social Policy, the results of surveys conducted by Central Statistical Office of Poland (GUS) and Public Opinion Research Centre (CBOS), as well as the results of questionnaire survey carried out in 2016 among 188 students of the Faculty of Economics and Management at the University of Szczecin.
