Przeobrażenia lokalnych społeczności górniczych. Teoretyczne podstawy analiz

Artykuł jest próbą teoretycznego ujęcia zmian zachodzących w lokalnych społecznościach górniczych i stanowi podstawę do wyodrębnienia całościowego modelu ich analizy. W związku z tym omówiono najistotniejsze jego elementy: 1) izolację przestrzenną, wynikającą z sytuowania osiedli górniczych wokół kopalń; 2) przewagę górnictwa jako systemu gospodarowania; 3) naturę pracy górniczej; 4) społeczne konsekwencje zawodowej homogeniczności i izolacji; 5) sposoby spędzania wolnego czasu; 6) status i funkcje rodziny; 7) społeczny i ekonomiczny konflikt; 8) całościowość stosunków społecznych. Zaprezentowany model skonstruowano na podstawie dorobku polskich i brytyjskich badań nad zmianami zachodzących w społecznościach górniczych, przy uwzględnieniu różnych kontekstów: społecznego, politycznego, ekonomicznego, historycznego i kulturowego.

The article attempts to approach the theoretical developments in the local mining communities. A comprehensive model of their analysis is developed. To this end, the most important elements are discussed: 1) spatial isolation resulting from the location of the mining settlements around the mines, 2) the predominance of mining in the economic system, 3) the nature of mining work, 4) the social consequences of occupational homogeneity and isolation, 5) leisure activities, 6) status and functions of the family, 7) social and economic confl ict, 8) totality of social relations. The model is constructed based on the advances in the Polish and British research on the changes occurring in the mining communities, taking into account the different contexts: social, political, economic, historical and cultural.
