Przestrzenne zróżnicowanie underemployment wśród młodzieży w Unii Europejskiej w latach 2004-2015

W artykule podjęto rozważania dotyczące problemów młodych ludzi na rynku pracy, w tym zagrożonych zjawiskiem underemployment. Zróżnicowanie sytuacji społeczno-gospodarczej poszczególnych krajów UE oraz uwarunkowania demograficzne i edukacyjne wpływają na możliwości młodzieży przejścia z systemu kształcenia do zatrudnienia. Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie przestrzennego zróżnicowania wskaźnika zatrudnienia młodzieży oraz udziału zatrudnionych nieadekwatnie wśród ogółu pracujących w UE-28 w tej grupie wieku w latach 2004-2015. Realizacji tak sformułowanego celu podporządkowano rozważania w następujących obszarach: 1) istota i formy zjawiska underemployment; 2) analiza wielkości i wskaźnika zatrudnienia młodzieży w wieku 15-24 lat w (UE); 3) analiza przestrzennego zróżnicowania zjawiska underemployment wśród młodzieży w UE.

The article presents problems of young people in the labor market, with special emphasis to underemployed. Diversity of socio-economic situation, including demographic and educational determinants of individual EU member states affect the ability of young people’s transition from education to employment that meets their aspirations and expectations. Considering the aforementioned conditions, the goal of the paper is to present diversity of youth employment and underemployment rate in EU-28 between 2004 and 2015. The attempt to achieve this goal required dividing the paper into separate parts that include: 1) definition and forms of underemployment; 2) analysis of youth employment and employment rate in the European Union in 2004-2015; 3) analysis of the spatial diversity of youth underemployment in the EU.
